OH2AUE and SM0DFP worked for the first time on 24GHz from OH in KP01PB to.SM in JP90JC a distance of 173km.
Equipment on AUE side, 60cm dish and 300mW
DFP used the SK0CT rover station, 40cm dish and 1W
QSO was first made on 10GHz, and signals were vy good 59+++ We aligned antennas
and then QSY to 24GHz. Signals were heard at once, and after som fine alignment of
antennas, 59+ signals were exchanged just as the sun set at 1833 UTC August 4 2009.
Weather in JP90 was: Temp +18 C, RH 81%, Air pressure 1018 hPa. Visibility about 20km in sea haze.

Hi Eene,
It was great fun, as signals were 50+20, comfortable SSB rag-chew for 30 minutes.
Now we have to work on increasing the distance further.
